Give Peas A Chance: Food and Clothing Drive for Marian House
For the second year in a row, the Liberal Store & Rainy Days Silkscreen Studio is holding a food and clothing drive for the needy and the homeless. All collected items will go to Marian House. They are specifically collecting adult white tube socks, coffee, sugar, large cans of diced tomatoes, corn, tomato sauce, and green beans. These items are used weekly at the Marian House Soup Kitchen in the preparation of the daily meal. White tube socks are always in demand at Marian House Client Services clothing closet. And, at this time of year, any warm clothing, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves are very needed.
Items can be dropped off at The Liberal Store & Rainy Days Silkscreen Studio located at Depot Arts District, 218 West Colorado Avenue, Suite 104. For more information, go to rainydays@mcleodusa.net, or call 719-471-2546. Ask for Diann.
The drive runs from December 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011.
