Charities CEO to be Welcomed at Reception
A community and donor reception for Mark Rohlena, the new President and CEO for Catholic Charities, will be held on Thursday, February 24th at the Marian House Soup Kitchen. The reception runs from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. “This is an opportunity for our local press, social service agencies and partners, and donors to come and meet Mark in a social atmosphere,” said Rochelle Schlortt, director of communications for Catholic Charities.
Musicians from the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony will be playing for the crowd while they puruse the art at the Marian House complex and take a moment to meet the new CEO.
“We are also using this reception as an opportunity to introduce two new additions to our art collection. We have a beautifully, restored statue of St. Vincent de Paul, and Bishop Sheridan will be on hand to bless an olive wood cross that was donated anonymously, and will hang in the general dining room, said Mrs. Schlortt” There will be tours available for anyone who would like to see the new facility. If you would like to attend, please call 719-866-6511 to RSVP before Wednesday, February 23rd by noon.
