As we approach the end of  year, there is still time to receive a tax deduction and/ or credit for charitable donations.  Catholic Charities offers several options:

Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit – 50% Credit

You can receive a 50% tax credit for donations made to Catholic Charities Life Connections.  This donation can be made by check or on-line.  Simply click on the “donate button” on this page, then choose donate on-line, and then direct your donation to Life Connections.  Or,  send a check to Catholic Charities with Life Connections noted in the memo section of the check.  This needs to be postmaked by December 31st.  Send check to 228 North Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Please Note: According to the State of Colorado, this  tax credit will not be available in tax year 2011, but will be reviewed again for 2012.  For specific questions, please call Janet at 719-866-6440.

El Paso County Enterprise Zone Tax Credit – 25% Credit

You can receive a 25% tax credit for donations of $500 or more, made to Catholic Charities Marian House.  This donation can only be made by check.   Send a check, postmarked by December 31st, to Catholic Charities.  Make the check out to the El Paso County Enterprise Zone with Marian House noted in the memo section of the check.   Send check to 228 North Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Any donation made to Catholic Charities qualifies for the normal tax deductions approved by the IRS and can be made by check or on-line.

Catholic Charities will be open for donations on Thursday, December 30th until 4:00pm.   We will be closed on Friday, December 31st.   Donations can be dropped off at our office on Thursday at 228 North Cascade Ave. in Colorado Springs.  To make arrangements for a donation on December 31st, please call Janet at 719-866-6440, or, you can still donate by clicking on the donation button located at the top of this page and make an on-line donation, or drop a check in the mail – postmarked by December 31st.
