Marian House Launches New Programs

Several new programs are being launched at the Hanifen Center at Marian House in the Client Services program to help clients move forward in life.  Programs include Financial Literacy classes, Career Development classes, Parenting Skills classes, and soon, computer classes will be offered.

Financial Literacy classes are offered once per month in partnership with Security Service Federal Credit Union that offers clients information on understanding income, basic budgeting, and how to manage and understand debt.

A Career Development Workshop will focus on career counseling, job skills such as resume writing and job search techniques.  This workshop runs every Wednesday at the Marian House.

Every Thursday through November 4,  Parenting Skills classes, “Becoming a Love and Logic Parent” are offered at 4pm.  This is a 7-week training program designed by the Love and Logic Institute, Inc.

Soon, a Computer Skills course will be offered in the Marian House computer lab.
