Marian House Soup Kitchen

  • Last year, we served 166,480 meals to 143,586 people.
  • Of the people served, about 5,000 were children

Emergency & Transition Services

Marian House Client Services and Community Outreach

  • Marian House Client Services served just under 2,000 unduplicated clients last year. Additionally, Client Services distributed:
    • 4,700 hygiene items4,670 items of clothing
    • 1,800 us tokens
    • 216 haircuts
    • 600 sleeping bags and blankets
    • 75 gas vouchers
    • Marian House Client Services also provided 600 showers, helped clients get 158 birth certificates and 100 Colorado ID’s,
  • Marian House Case Management helps in many areas including getting identification cards and birth certificates
  • Marian House Community Outreach assists an average of 3,000 people per year by delivering blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, furniture, household items, and food in our 10 county region as well as providing information and referrals.
    • Last year, Outreach provided:
      • 62,450 pounds of food
      • 23,876 items of clothing
      • 1,760 items of school supplies including 88 full backpacks
      • 1,803 items of furniture
      • 1,570 bedding items
      • 170 food certificates (30 @ $50 and 140 @ $25)

Marian House Life Support Center

In the past year, The Life Support Center served 2,454 un-duplicated adults and 4,136 un-duplicated children. When taking into account repeat visits, the center served over 20,000 people. Items distributed were:

  • 46,350 items of children’s clothing
  • 10,279 jars/boxes of baby food/cereal
  • 2,991 dozen diapers (35,892 diapers)
  • 2,615 toys
  • 1,332 Birthday Buddy gifts
  • 1,152 Christmas gifts
  • 1,206 school supplies
  • 307 layettes
  • 1,311 cans of formula
  • 80 car seats

Life Connections

  • 102 individuals received 1,033 hours of pregnancy or relinquishment counseling services in the past year.
  • 1,120 days of foster care were provided to infants awaiting adoption or requiring respite cradle care
  • 8 children were placed either in adoptive or foster homes

Family Immigration Services – English as a Second Language Classes (ESL)

ESL classes provided instruction to 182 individuals in the past year. As a result, their language skills significantly increased and they are better able to integrate into the community.
